Avery Products Corporation Delivers Christmas Cheer to Students
Jolly, Old St. Nick and his elves were welcomed with smiles, laughter, hugs and delight by students at Cogswell and Miramonte Schools in the Mountain View School District as members of Avery Products Corporation showed the true spirit of Christmas by generously delivering notebooks, dividers, glue sticks, highlighters and candy canes to every student. Santa and his helpers also presented each teacher with an assortment of games, books and art supplies for their classroom.
Cogswell and Miramonte have enjoyed a wonderful partnership and tremendous support from Avery Products Corporation for many years. This is the 17th year they’ve visited the two schools spreading holiday cheer.
The annual Christmas visit to the schools is something the Avery Products employees look forward to each year, and many of the helpers have been involved in the Christmas outreach for several years.
Santa encouraged the students to continue to work hard, listen to their teachers and parents, and be respectful to each other so they can stay on his “nice” list.
“I know here at your school you work on positive behavior and that’s very important,” said Santa. “Being kind and respectful and doing the right thing are very important and I want you to continue to listen to your teachers and your parents and continue to be good and work hard in school,” he added.
The Avery employees look forward to this day every year and are happy to collect donations year-round to be able to bring the gifts to every student.
“Seeing their faces makes it all worth it,” said one of Santa’s helpers. “To see their excitement and happiness is priceless.”
The staff from both schools are extremely grateful to Avery Products Corp. and its employees for their kindness and extreme generosity.
“This is what Christmas is all about and we are so appreciative to everyone here today for the kindness they’ve shown and for making the holidays brighter for so many of our students,” said Gerardo Yepez, Cogswell’s principal. “The students will certainly use all the supplies they received and our teachers are very grateful for the items they received for their classroom.”
