Personnel Services has responsibility for planning, organizing, and coordinating programs related to Personnel. One of our goals is to provide leadership and support to Management, Classified and Certificated staff utilizing a variety of resources to support the highest quality educational environment.
Personnel Services utilizes the latest technology to provide accessible, accurate and timely services both to individuals seeking employment and current MVSD employees in the areas of recruitment and selection, training and development, employee and labor relations, compensation and benefits.
Personnel Services staff is available to assist school sites and departments in the development and implementation of practices and procedures that maximize the potential and enhance the contributions of a diverse workforce.

The Assistant Superintendent of Personnel Services oversees pre-employment/recruitment/ selection; conflict resolution; certificated and classified negotiations; sexual harassment; contract management procedures; and evaluation and monitoring processes.

Certificated management positions are ones that require state certification authorizing the individuals to perform in the areas of their responsibility. A major priority in the District is to have a fully certified teacher in every classroom. The District seeks qualified candidates who are innovative, enthusiastic, and are looking for the opportunity to make a difference.
