Though it is our greatest challenge, our mission is to prepare students to be successful college graduates, who contribute to society as productive members of the community.
School Profile
Baker school is one of the largest elementary schools in the Mountain View School District. Baker School's 48 teachers provide service for almost 900 students in grades Kindergarten to 5th Grade. Approximately 92% of our students are English Language Learners. Baker School offers Biliteracy Classes for parents who agree to sign waivers allowing their children to participate in the bilingual education classes. Our school Library serves the entire school and parents.
The Computer Lab is equipped with state of the art technology. Our staff is fully supported by the Instructional Media Center Clerk who maintains all materials and supplies for our large campus. The main office is staffed by one secretary, one clerk and one half-time attendance clerk. We also have available a full time Health Aide, who treats students with first aid. Our parents and staff enjoy the services of a full time Community Aide who works hard to provide a full range of services for parents. Our custodial staff is an integral part of our school and provides Baker with excellent support by cleaning and maintaining an attractive campus. Our kitchen staff serves over 2000 meals daily and works hard to nurture all of us.
