Measure SS, MVSD’s $57.0 million general obligation (G.O.) bond program continues to address the needs of the student population through modernization and renovation projects at the District’s schools.
This summer, our next Measure SS Bond projects are underway and include underground utilities replacement at Baker School, roofing repair/replacement at both Miramonte and Voorhis Schools, and construction at the Mountain View Family Center. The three school campuses and Family Center will remain closed through the summer due to the construction taking place. Additionally, work continues this summer on Phase II of the HVAC Replacement Project which will replace 135 external units throughout the District.
Last summer, we successfully completed our first Measure SS Bond project, an underground utilities project at Payne School where extensive underground infrastructure improvements were made including the installation of new water, electrical and gas lines and a new catch basin in the field for water runoff.
