Super Hero Dance Party Raises Funds for Baker School

Super Hero Dance Party Raises Funds for Baker School
It was a dance party at Baker School as students, staff and families gathered together for a Super Hero themed Dance-a-thon. Wearing their super hero costumes, capes and t-shirts, the students hit the dance floor for a few hours of dancing to raise funds for the school. Everyone had fun participating in the high energy event, showing off some great moves. Funds raised from the Dance-a-thon will go toward field trips and assemblies for Baker’s TK through 5th grade students.
“The kids really love the Dance-a-thon and it’s a great way to bring us all together to help our school, have fun and get some exercise too,” said Donelle Soto Magat, Baker principal. “It really is a wonderful event that helps raise money for our school.”
As the DJ played popular tunes, students busted out their best dance moves including break dancing, line dancing and several conga lines that were swiftly moving throughout the quad area.
After two hours of dancing the students were a bit tired but couldn’t contain their excitement.
“The dance-a-thon is so much fun,” said a break-dancing Spiderman. “I really like dancing and getting to see the teachers dance is funny too. I can’t wait until we have it again next year.”
