It was a candy-coated, fun celebration as MVSD honored employees for their years of service at the 2012 Employee Recognition Ceremony. A Trip to Candy Land was the theme as employees were honored for 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 35 years of service.

    Parkview School transformed Madrid’s cafeteria into Candy Land, a favorite childhood game, and guests enjoyed sweet treats from the Food Services Department. The Parkview Zumba Dancers, joined by Lillian Maldonado French, provided some high energy entertainment.

     Three employees, one from each of the employee groups, were recognized for having the longest tenure with no “lost time” as a result of work related injury. The workplace safety honorees were teacher, Silvia Galindo, classified employee, Debra Martinez and confidential/management/administration employee, Alice Albitre.
