The youngest members of Mountain View School District’s Preschool Program received an early holiday treat thanks to Baby2Baby, a nonprofit organization that provides essential items to children across the country.  MVSD’s Early Head Start program was invited to participate in the organization’s Family2Family event this year.  Each child whose parents consented to participate, received a giant gift bag stuffed with presents.

Donors for the Family2Family event received information on each child and shopped for items based on the child’s unique interests and wishes.  Items in the gift bag included toys, games, clothing, shoes, and more.  The generous donors even included items for pregnant mothers for their expected baby.

“Baby 2 Baby has been a blessing to our Early Head Start Program since 2020 when the pandemic began. They have provided our families with necessities such as diapers, formula, personal hygiene, and educational items,” said Jennifer Camargo, Program Manager of Preschool Programs. “This year has been extra special because our families have received personalized items from wonderful donors to make this holiday season extra special.”

The smiles on the children’s faces and the gratitude of the parents and families was heartwarming as they picked up their gift bags this week from MVSD’s Children’s Center.
