Kranz Students Rewarded with Snow Cones with Cops

The El Monte Police Department Community Relations Department hosted “Snow Cones with a Cop” at Kranz Intermediate School to recognize the 7th and 8th graders who met or exceeded State standards on the California State assessments last spring.  Members of the Traffic Safety Bureau also participated in the celebration and shared safety tips as they interacted with the students.

“We are happy to be here and celebrate the students’ achievement,” said Detective, Jesus Rojas. “We are proud of their efforts and want to encourage them to continue to work hard and keep up the good work.”

Kranz principal, David Herrera commended the students for their academic achievement.

“You are the shining stars here at Kranz and our other students are very close and working toward the standards as well,” he said.  “We are so proud of you and hope you enjoy the snow cones and visiting with the officers.”

Herrera thanked the members of the police department for caring about the students and their educational journey, and expressed his gratitude for their continued support.

Congratulations to the Kranz Cougars on their achievement and to Kranz Intermediate School for being one of MVSD’s schools with the highest gains on the state assessments.
